On Sunday, 12 May 2024, at around 2:00 A.M., the Dawabsheh family woke up to find their home, in the northwest of the village of Duma, on fire. The family occupies the third floor of the building, while the first and second floors are used for storing animal feed.

The family members managed to get the fire under control before it reached the third floor, with the help of local residents who came to their aid.

While extinguishing the fire, two family members fell and sustained injuries.

The settlers sprayed: “Administrative price tag, 30 since Binyamin” on the wall of the house, likely referring to the killing of Binyamin Ahimeir, a Jewish teen from a nearby settlement.
