’Ein Harasha, Ramallah District: A Palestinian farming community forcibly transferred through state-backed settler violence

The small farming hamlet of ’Ein Harasha, located on land belonging to the village of al-Mazra'ah al-Qibliyah, was home to three families with a total number of 30 members. In 1997, the settlement of Haresha was established just 300 meters away, and for years, community residents suffered harassment by settlers and attempts to take over the local spring.

After 7 October 2023, settler attacks intensified, and on 10 October 2023, the three families were forced to relocate to the center of the village. The settlers also blocked the road leading from the village to ’Ein Harasha with rocks, threatened to shoot anyone approaching the area, and uprooted trees from the families’ land.
