Beit Dajan, Nablus District: Settlers attack Palestinians working farmland with a digger; soldiers arrest the Palestinians for 24 hours

On Sunday, 1 October 2023, at around 15:30, Hani al-Qarini (18) and Ahmad Tawil (20), both residents of Beit Furik, were carrying out agricultural work with a digger on land between the villages of Beit Dajan and a-Naseriyah, when four settlers arrived, some of them bearing rifles. The settlers harrassed the two, demanded the keys to the digger and tried to snatch them away. Meanwhile, another 10 settlers or so arrived and threw stones at the digger, shattering the windshield. Al-Qarini and Tawil fled and soldiers chased them in a military jeep until they got to a-Naseriyah, where the soldiers arrested them and took them to the Ariel police station, claiming they had attacked the settlers. The two were released the following day, around midday, after posting NIS 3,500 (~USD 960) each in bail. They returned to the plot and retrieved the digger.
