Israeli Civil Administration demolishes 5 homes near Jericho

On 3 June 2020, around 7:00 A.M., about 15 military jeeps escorted by a crane truck and a bulldozer came to Abu Dahuk community in the Deir Hajla area of Jericho. The forces demolished five residential shacks of an extended family and another structure it used as a kitchen, leaving 23 people, 11 of them minors, homeless. In addition, the forces confiscated three water containers, six solar panels, four air conditioners, two refrigerators and shade sails, belonging to the same family.

The family lived for 30 years at a site, about ten kilometers east of the current one. On 20 January 2020, the military handed the family a stop-work and demolition order and expelled from their previous place of residence on the grounds that it is a closed military zone.
