Fayzeh speaks about Living in Hebron and volunteering for B'Tselem, 2013
02 March 2013
Ever since she moved to downtown Hebron, Fayzeh Abu Shamsiya and her family have been subject to harassment. Although the harassment didn't end when she started recording her world on film, she had found a new way of protecting herself. Fayzeh volunteers in our camera project, in which we provide video cameras to Palestinians living in high-friction areas in the West Bank. We have around ten women volunteers in Hebron today, and they face many challenges, among them Israeli soldiers and settlers and also Palestinian societal attitudes.
