Israeli settlers slash tires of 30 cars in al-Birah, West Bank
On 23 October 2019, two masked settlers came to the Palestinian town of al-Birah, north of Ramallah, from the direction of Beit El settlement, spray-painted hate graffiti on house walls and slashed the tires of 30 cars.
This vandalism is part of settlers' routine violence against Palestinians, which is backed by the military. The Israeli authorities, whose interests are served by these violent acts, systemically avoid investigating them. This leaves Palestinians defenseless, with no authority protecting their well-being and property.
