Rationale for revocation according to the Ministry of Interior

Note: In 2009 the Ministry of Interior reinstated the residency rights of 49 Palestinians whose residency had been revoked. No statistics were profided for 2004-2008. In 2003, the Ministry of Interior reinstated the residency rights of 83 Palestinians whose residency had been revoked, and in 2004 it reinstated the rights of 16 Palestinians.

The figures for 2003 and 2004 were provided, in letters of 16 June and 5 August 2004, to the Jerusalem Center for Social and Economic Rights by the official at the Internal Security Ministry's Strategic Planning Department in charge of providing information to the public. The figures relating to 2005-2007 were provided to HaMoked: Center for the Defense of the Individual on 3 November 2008. The figures for 2008 were provided to HaMoked in a letter of 5 November 2009. The figures for 2009 were provided to B'Tselem in a letter of 11 May 2010, The figures for 2010 were provided to B'Tselem in a letter of 24 Jan. 2011 and to HaMoked in a letter of 12 July 2011. The figures for 2011 were provided to B'Tselem in a letter of 5 July 2012 from the Population and immigration authority.
