B’Tselem to hold open discussion on Facebook on 17-18 December ‘08

To mark International Human Rights Week, we are inviting all our readers to an open discussion on the Facebook website. From 17 December, 10 A.M. (Israel time) to 18 December, 5 P.M. (Israel time), B’Tselem’s entire team will be available to answer questions posted on our Facebook wall and to discuss issues raised by our readers.

We believe that transparency and open communication with our audience are essential to our mission to raise awareness and promote change regarding the human rights situation in the OPT. We will be happy to clarify any ambiguities or misunderstandings regarding our data and/or various aspects of our work.

We urge participants to read up in advance on issues of interest on our website and post questions that are not answered within that framework. We also emphasize that B’Tselem does not deal with political agendas or with possible solutions to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and cannot address these matters.
