During a comprehensive closure, all permits  previously issued to residents of the Occupied Territories for purposes of work,  trade, or medical treatment are invalid .

2005

According to figures provided by the IDF Spokesperson's Office, during 2005,  the IDF imposed  a comprehensive closure on the Occupied Territories for a total of 132 days. Thus, for more than one- third of 2005, residents of the Occupied Territories were not allowed to travel between the West Bank and Gaza or to enter Israel.
