Association for the Prevention of Torture
An international non-governmental organization active in the field of human rights. Its mandate is to prevent torture and treatment contrary to human dignity. To this end, it seeks to ensure the implementation of international laws and principles forbidding torture and to reinforce mechanisms - such as visits to places of detention - for the prevention of ill-treatment.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN)
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN) is a network of more than 60 human rights organizations from over 20 countries in the Euro-Mediterranean region. The EMHRN was established in January 1997 to contribute to the protection and promotion of the human rights principles embodied in the Barcelona Declaration of November 1995 and in the bilateral association agreements between the EU and its Mediterranean partners. EMHRN works to to strengthen, assist and co-ordinate the efforts of its members to monitor the Partner States' compliance with human rights principles .

Madre- an International Women's Human Rights Organization
Since 1983, MADRE has worked in partnership with community-based women’s organizations in conflict areas worldwide to address issues of health, education, economic development and other human rights. MADRE provides resources and training for our sister organizations and works to empower people in the US to demand changes to unjust policies. Based on the priorities of the women with whom we work, MADRE develops programs to meet immediate needs in communities hurt by US policy and supports women’s long-term struggles for social justice and human rights.
