Settlers use their bodies to prevent Palestinians from harvesting olives, Hebron, Oct. 2006

On 26 Oct. 06, Hashem al-'Aza from the Tel Rumeida neighborhood in Hebron went to harvest his olive trees. Following a petition to the High Court of Justice, the Israeli security forces had promised to protect the olive harvesters. However, the unit appointed for their protection did not show up at the appointed time and Tel Rumeida settlers used their bodies to prevent the harvest, while soldiers guarding the settlement chose not to interfere.
