5 June 2008:  B'Tselem protests ISA interrogation of PHR worker

In a letter to the head of the Israel Security Agency, the prime minister, and the attorney general, B’Tselem protested the summoning of Salah Haj Yihya, head of medical clinics of Physicians for Human Rights, for questioning by the ISA. Yehiye was asked about his work for the organization, statements he made to the media, and his political positions. He was also threatened. B'Tselem pointed out that an interrogation must focus on suspicions of illegal acts, and not on legal acts, political or otherwise.
